John Crawford Marine has just listed this stunning Quintrex 430 Fishabout, powered by a 60Hp Mercury and trailered on a Quintrex alloy trailer fitted with plenty of factory upgrades.

At the time of order, a number of factory upgrades were chosen including the engine HP. Rather than a standard 50Hp, the Mercury was upgraded to a 60Hp that effortlessly pushes 2 adults and the days gear economically.

The Mercury has been pretested in the JCM workshop, with a computer ECU verified, 141 hours and JCM will complete the annual engine service prior to your handover, meaning the next scheduled service isn’t due until May 2027. 

Mercury four stroke outboards are well regarded for their reliability and smooth operation. Another buyer bonus is that the Mercury is backed with a 3 month post sale BIA engine warranty for further buyer’s confidence.

Runabouts by design are an ideal style/model for those may like to do a spot of fishing, a little crabbing, exploring the corners of the bay or simply enjoy floating at anchor with family or friends catching up.

The cockpit is considerably large for a boat of this length, high internal topsides are a bonus if young ones are aboard, and the generous beam offers a high degree of stability at rest or anchor. Seating for 4 (smooth waters) is provided with two quality high back pedestal seats and the rear lounge that also neatly folds down out of the way if not in use or can be simply removed.

The dash has an array of upgraded engine instrumentation where the cheaper standard analogue gauges were upgraded at the time of order to the Mercury Smartcraft digital gauges as was the GPS/Fishfinder. This was upgraded to a 7” touch screen MFD unit that incorporates sounder/Fishfinder/GPS – plus comes with the mapping card and the unit is linked to the Lowrance 3:1 Transducer with side view technology.

Overhead a quality 3 bow sports bimini offers reprieve from the sun and easily folds down if wanting to reduce the overall height for storage or towing down the highway. Access to the ground tackle stored in the anchor well is made easy with the centre piece of the windscreen being hinged.  The dash also has a storage shelf/nook and a glove box for the car keys, phone and wallet as pictured.

Trailering

The rig is trailered on a Quintrex Alloy TELASMALL single axle, aluminium framed trailer that marries to the hull like a glove. Being built in house, they are designed to make launching and retrieving as simple as it can be. The trailer is well dressed with white plastic mud guards fitted with side clearance lights and comes with LED submersible trailer lights, and a quality tie down strap etc.

To further your on-road towing confidence, all trailers sold through JCM, either have been or will checked, serviced and adjusted where needed to ensure it meets road worthy standards, so you are reassured the wheel bearings / tyres and pressures, right down to the R Clip and trailer lights are all operational.
