This is one exceptionally designed and well-built centre console for the sports angler by Performance Plate Boats!

This well optioned centre console platey was launched new in October 2022 and features a quality suite of features and accessories that will make any angler happy to own and fish from.

The design, layout and fabrication is a credit to the Performance Plate Boats team and we have tried to photograph the boats features and attributes that will complement the sports angler wanting to fish both inshore and offshore waters.

High internal freeboard, generous beam, non skid soft flooring and the strength of a 5mm hull sheet plate alloy construction delivers a strong as nails and safe platform to fish from. The hull design incorporates a fine entry and generous V that will eat the afternoon sloppy and choppy waterways providing occupants a comfortable and dry ride.

Powered by a freshly serviced, 21 hour old Suzuki 200Hp EFI 4 stroke delivering exceptional torque, performance and hole shot when needed crossing bars. The refined AP model Suzuki with digital gear select and throttle has been fitted with Hydrive hydraulic steering, upgraded 4 blade stainless steel propellor and is fuelled via the huge 200L underfloor fuel tank – range is assured!

Fishing features from bow to stern, starting with the bow, a very solid bow sprit with a huge anchor well, a large casting raised foredeck and under this an impressive storage hold for the days gear! t’s a big hold!

We all desire stealth fishing and when offshore also wanting to avoid using an anchor, the answer to this age-old dilemma is the use of a bow mount electric. This smart package has fitted a 24v, 80lbs, 72’ shaft Motorguide Xi5 Pinpoint electric that makes fishing in current simple. The unit comes with a handheld remote, 2 x 12v batteries installed under the bow and a 240v battery charger.

Mid ship, the console is again well designed and fabricated. Overhead a large T-Top come cockpit tropical sun shade is fitted and atop, lighting has been installed.  The console itself has been very well thought out and designed with everything at and in the right place. Suzuki engine instrumentation, not one but 2, touch screen Garmin Echomap UHD 95SV units. The units are linked to dual Garmin GT series transducers with side imaging capabilities.

On the underside of the T-Top in the overhead console, a ICOM VHF radio is neatly housed.

The dual helm skippers chair provides comfort with a padded top, and under a large esky could be housed.

The transom is the workstation with a large and solid bait prep table, a walk-through transom plumbed live bait tank and we love the side coaming lockable rod storage boxes.

On the Trailer

Trailering is made easy as the rig sits atop a custom-made Performance Plate Boats trailer fabricated in house featuring an all-alloy frame as pictured that marries to the hull like a glove.

These trailers are made and designed to allow launching and retrieving to be a simple affair and for experienced skippers, drive on and off. This trailer has also been upgraded with an extension beach launch draw bar, alloy dress rims and stone deflectors.

Like all trailers sold through JCM they are workshop tested/adjusted/serviced and repaired where needed to ensure road worthy compliance – you don’t get this re-assurance when buying from the private classies!
