The build quality for which Extreme Boats has developed its reputation is evident throughout the 745 Game King. Components are extensively welded, right down to smaller details such as rod holders and bungs, creating a boat designed to withstand the demands of serious offshore use.

Below deck, an extensive stringer and gusset configuration contributes to an exceptionally strong and rigid hull, while fully sealed underfloor chambers positioned either side of the fuel tank provide substantial reserve buoyancy.

With its 2.49m beam, flooding keel and 21-degree deadrise, the 745 Game King combines impressive stability with a soft, smooth and confidence-inspiring ride. Whether heading offshore with family or mates, chasing game fish or overnighting in a favourite inlet, this package has been designed and fitted out as an exceptional and  versatile platform.

The well-designed enclosed cabin and helm provides excellent visibility, while sliding side windows, dual roof top hatches plus the addition of two rear drop down windows, offer welcome ventilation on warmer days and or when overnighting on those still nights.

Heavy plate construction contributes to the boat's substantial feel, and this owner went a step further by specifying the 8mm hull upgrade, with a minimum of 4mm plate used elsewhere. The double-skinned cabin walls also allow generous storage to be incorporated throughout, while even the hardtop and cabin doors reflects the heavy-duty nature of the construction.

The angler in the family isn’t forgotten with a vast array of quality electronics from Raymarine and FLIR including a 12” touch screen MFD, Autopilot, 1kw transducer, Navionics mapping card, VHF radio and Zipwake controls all built into the stylish and well laid out dash.

Trailering

At the time of ordering, the owner wanted a quality Australian-made alloy trailer that would marry perfectly with the hull, provide safe and confident towing at highway speeds, and offer maximum convenience at the boat ramp.

Performance Plate Boats, located at Brendale in southeast Queensland, was chosen to build the custom trailer, and what a trailer they have built!

With the addition of the Balex Boat Trailer Loading System, and the stainless steel BarCatch system, the objective of these two upgrades was to make launching and retrieving as straightforward as possible and allow the owner to continue boating solo for as long as he chooses. At $22,000 for the Balex system alone, on top of the cost of the custom-made trailer, no expense has been spared.

As the photos demonstrate, the hull fits the trailer frame like a glove. The Balex system uses a powerful hydraulic drive and is easily operated by one person via a compact remote-control unit. No more clambering down a slippery boat ramp to attach a cable and no more cranking a manual winch. It makes launching and retrieving a considerably easier and more convenient proposition for a solo operator.

The trailer is also fitted with a four-wheel electric-over-hydraulic AL-KO iQ7 braking system, together with a spare wheel and stone guards, all of which complement the overall towing package.
