John Crawford Marine offers the maxi trailer boat “Silver Mist” a beautifully appointed Cruise Craft 685 Explorer, powered by a freshly serviced, Yamaha F300XCA four stroke and trailered on a near new 2024 built, Redco Alloy I Beam trailer.

Unquestionably, Cruise Craft have raised the bar to unpresented levels with their range of locally made Explorer models. This hull although just discontinued, as a EX720 Explorer is an industry icon, just like the Toyota Landcruiser 200 Series.

The attention to detail and the factories fit out are class leading and it’s easy to see why these sensational boats demand the price they do – they just work!

This stunning package was delivered new in March 2018, with a new trailer fitted in August 2024, lovingly maintained and will suit both family day trips and the offshore reef adventures.

As the photos try and showcase, every nook and cranny has a purpose and reason in its design for either fishing or comfort. Further, the package boasts an armoury of electronics, features and a the new “Cruise Craft” spec trailer.

Powered by a Yamaha 300Hp F300XCA EFI four stroke that is a perfect power plant for this hull delivering excellent acceleration and fuel economy. The engine has recorded a computer ECU verified 363 hours. Hours are almost a by gone discussion when they are known for 1,000’s of hours of trouble-free motoring.

The engine spins a genuine Yamaha Saltwater Series 11 stainless steel prop, steering is light with hydraulic steering system fitted and range is assured with a 300l under floor fuel tank. This model also features the silky smooth, digital gear shift and the upgraded Yamaha 6YC multifunction engine gauge.

The family is not forgotten with an array of creature comforts, including a marine toilet (no holding tank), sliding cabin privacy door, large cabin v-berth with the infill, comfortable seating throughout and over sun protection via the craftsman fabricated stainless steel full length cockpit canopy. Including custom made drop clears including mozzie screens. And lets not forget the Pie Warmer, even fresh water for a shower!

The angler – there is a reason the 685/720 is one of Australia’s finest trailerable fishing boats. Built by angers for anglers.

Everything has its place!  Dual Cruise Craft 110L fiberglass eskies offer plenty of volume for the fish or food and drinks and these neatly stow under the mid ship seating. Upgraded over a standard TA800, with keel rollers, shortened bunks, matching spare Predator Alloy wheel, winch post step plus the stainless steel boat “Latch-n-Catch” is fitted for added convenience!
