Arguably the very best and most upgraded Polycraft 599 Frontier ever made and fitted out to extremely high standard for family boating and fishing.
Powered by the all new generation and highly acclaimed Mercury (White) 225Hp V6 4.3l 12 hour old four stroke delivering exceptional performance and economy and the boat is trailered on a top of the range Oceanic “Poly” tandem trailer that has been made to marry to the hull like a glove and fitted with electric over hydraulic braking system as the rig weighs approx 2.2t fueled.
The all new Mercury 225Hp V6 was chosen as the power plant for range, reliability, looks and sheer grunt. The hull has been upgraded via the ABP Plate to accommodate this additional HP and doesn’t the angular shape of the cowl just look awesome! The outboard has balance of factory warranty remaining until 2024 on the basis the conditions/servicing schedules are met. The dual batteries were also upgraded to genuine dual 1030 CCA AGM batteries from Mercury and are housed in the centre esky in the rear lounge.
Steering is genuine Mercury hydraulic system providing non –feedback and the controls are “fly-by-wire" with digital shift gears and no cables, the latest Mercury information can be downloaded via the “Vessel View” app to your phone and the technology just keeps coming.....
Not content with a standard hull, the owner has re-wired the entire hull to the highest of standards, simply look behind the dash to see for yourself the quality and detail of tradesmanship and fit out skills.
The dash was upgraded to house the dual Raymarine Axiom 9” colour combo sounder/GPS units, one is fitted with a mapping card and again you can download the Raymarine App for further personal integration. The Raymarine also links into the Raymarine Doppler 2 Radar that proudly sits atop the stainless steel framed bimini built by the team whom supply the Cruise Craft factory their quality targas.
Switch panels, VHF Radio, even a custom engraved steering shroud has been fabricated just to make for perfection. The dash rail was also upgraded along with the stainless-steel grab rail around the windscreen... oh, this isn't the standard windscreen, it was removed and this screen was custom made to get the angle correct to compliment the look the owner was chasing – yes you have read this right!
Overhead no expense was spared in making the stainless-steel work, even the bow rail was removed and replaced with an upgraded custom-made design along with all the stainless work on the bow... the bow sprit, and plate was fabricated/polished and installed to house the stainless Lewmar electric winch and stainless anchor..... how much did this alone cost, let's just say upwards of $4K on this alone.. BTW the electric anchor winch is also remote controlled, so if sitting on the beach and the ride starts to run out, the press of a button and the boat can be “pulled” out into deeper water!
The cabin is large, light and airy and the vendors sense of humour shows with the custom graphics of the south of Tangalooma being printed on the inside of the cabin to show a “false window” ….. Bunk cushions provide comfort for the children to have a sleep in the afternoon and the V berth is large enough for an adult or three to lay down.
Upgraded seating frames were made so an esky could be stored conveniently under the passenger seat frame, the esky can be pushed forward so a toddler can stand on this holding onto the dash rail whilst having the security of Mum in the chair. The rear lounge is comprised of three Eva-Kool fiberglass eskies, the port and starboard being for food and drinks/fish and the center houses the AGM batteries. Behind these, loads of storage is provided for seldom used gear.
The trailer is a custom-made Pol model from Oceanic Trailers made on the Gold Coast. The trailer was made in August 2019 and has been set up as a drive on/off model and set up with the correct braking system as the rig will weigh in excess of 2t. Hence 4-wheel electric over hydraulic brakes have been installed, upgraded alloy wheels and matching spare wheel – of course!
It's hard to explain in writing all the customization, but almost $115,000 has been spent on building this rig and due to a change in circumstances the boat is offered to the discerning buyer wanting something that is truly unique and a bargain all at the same time at $84,995 tow away.
