Wow is the first word a genuine boatie tragic will say when you see the condition of this beautifully appointed and maintained Aquamaster 500 Cuddy. No little 70Hp pushing this, the motor was upgraded to a 115Hp EFI Suzuki four stroke at the time of order and customization... along with a striking hull paint colour, cushioned bunks, higher bimini top and positioning of the battery along with the deluxe pedestal seating.
The boat was owned by a man that has owned more boats in his lifetime that most would ever dream and with so many hours on the water, he knew when ordering this (supposedly his last boat ?) where he wanted things, what works and what doesn't.... even the fenders have a home both port and starboard side!
The rig has only recorded a low 66 hours since new and the photos still don’t do justice to the presentation of this package. If you are in the market for a new boat but don’t like the price tag and lack of accessories, then make a bee line to JCM to see this locally made smooth sided Aquamaster.
The dash is well laid out with a large colour screen Garmin combo GPS/sounder fitted atop that are an excellent fishfinder and if jump to YouTube and type in the model echoMAP SV a lot of demonstration and “how to use” videos will pop up for you. A VHF radio is neatly installed for back to bas communications along with a complement of digital engine instrumentation.
Overhead a quality bimini top offers shade from the midday sun and additional front and side clears have been custom made to help keep the wind and spray off your face. The driver’s seat and passenger’s seat are extremely comfortable, and the arms rests add a nice touch.
The cockpit is big enough for three adults to enjoy some fishing and rom for the crab pots to be set up as well. The transom has a large bait board with rod holders fitted and we like the walk-through transom and door which helps make re-boarding easy after a swim or a snorkel... If range is what you need, the Suzuki 115Hp are renowned for their economy and with a 70l fuel tank under the floor range is assured.
Trailering is easy on the quality RS510-MO braked Redco Sportsman trailer that marries to the hull like a glove. The RS series has side skids and centre rollers to aid the retrieval of the hull and if single handed you will appreciate this model over the standard cheaper trailers on the market. A spare wheel and brakes are also fitted for on road towing safety and like all trailers prior to handover they are workshop serviced for your towing confidence.
This is one exceptional package and if you have been considering cuddy cabin models from Quintrex or Stacer or Clark boats then make a bee line to JCM for this exceptionally well, low hour, one owner package at $35,995 tow away.
