Simply wow! – the team at JCM just looove boats with stories like this that really make you appreciate what owning a boat can do for families with children!
This 2004 Bayliner – yes looks amazing! Is a one owner package since new, it has lived its life in Stanthorpe some 3.5 hours west of Brisbane and for almost all its life used in the local freshwater skiing dam for 98% of its life. When not in use, she has been stored in a shed on the property, dry, free from humidity and able to be aired and stored properly. Therefore, it presents like it does and there is no trick photography from our end...
The family and extended family have enjoyed many years of water sports and the time has come that as the last of the children have leave home, the boat is to now find the next family to offer enjoyment and make memories.
Powered by a Mercruiser 135Hp four stroke stern drive that easily pulls an adult up on skis or the kids along on a tube or toboggan for a weekend's fun and exercise. The motor bay is simply clean and tidy accompanied with a sound mechanical pre-sale check. Further its backed with a BIA warranty for buyers’ confidence. Spinning a plastic 4 blade prop – this is used in case it hits wood and doesn’t damage the gearbox rather than spinning a steel/alloy propellor.
Bayliners along with other competing USA brands like Searay, Glastron, Crownline and Four Winns all offer a top level of fit out with quality and comfortable trimmings in the way they make their seating from bow to stern. This rig has also had custom made travel cover made the covers the windscreen and cockpit and a bow cover in included as pictured.
The helm is very comfortable and well designed for its intended use – to steer a skier around, so viewing through the windscreen is great and overhead shade is provided by the bimini top. The dash has the compliment of engine gauges fitted and although the sounder is original still appears to tell you how deep the water is... Between the drivers and passenger seat midship underfloor is storage locker ideal for the ropes and wetsuits.
Trailering is via the Bayliner dealer supplied Karavan single axle trailer that marries to the hull like a glove. Like all trailers sold through JCM they are inspected pre-sale and you can be reassured when you tow away they have been adjusted/repaired/serviced to ensure your on road towing safety – why take the risk buying from the private classies and not have the reassurance of our workshop included in the low tow away price?
We know the market, we know there are numerous “cheap” bowriders on the market, but are they grey imports? How much saltwater have they been used in? Do you get warranty and on water tuition when you purchase? Do you get workshop back up and a real road worthy trailer?? This is a unique yet realistically priced package at under $20K tow away, so don’t delay as quality and genuine boats don’t last long at JCM.
