Wow – a Sabre Junior Sail Trainer still exists – what a find!
Calling all parents that have a yearning to see their children learn to sail or a Sabre 22 trailer sailor owner looking for a genuine factory built one owner tender/sailing dinghy/pram dinghy to tow behind their 22 Mk1 or Mk11.
This is a piece of our boating history manufactured circa early 80’s by Sabre Yachts in Clontarf, the Northern suburbs of Brisbane. A double skinned fiberglass hull that measures 2.3m long and has a beam of 1.35m. So simple to rig with a 2-piece aluminum mast, a slide over Mail sail and an alloy boom.
If sailing isn't your thing, why not purchase some oars, and use as a rowboat?
The dagger board is removable and has the original capping plate and for a nice tough the tiller is a light weight varnished timber.
If you are looking at Sabot and Mirror sailing dinghies, then consider this rare find at only $2,000 for the enthusiast to own a piece of boating history.
